On Saturday, September 25, a poetry reading was held at the Four Winds featuring New College student’s reading their original work. The event was coordinated by third-year Alec Niedenthal, who wanted to provide students with the opportunity to hear poetry from their fellow classmates. “I brought people who aren’t students to read so I thought that people who are actually students should have a chance to read,” Neidenthal stated. Many of the students who presented read poetry that they had submited to the “Free Dubstep MP3” zine that was assembled by Niedenthal and third-year Brandon Valade. Student readers included: Matthew Polzin, Adam Bresnahan, Brandon Valade, Alex Fixler, David Belew, Kejt Walsh, Aaron Amram, Alec Niedenthal, Steve Rizzo, Zach Eidelman, Analeah Losca, Dave Baker, and Joohyun Kim. Similar poetry readings will be taking place every month.
