The New College Student Alliance (NCSA) hosted a Casino Night on Sat. Apr. 28. Members of the cabinet and volunteers distributed gambling chips and dealt cards out to students dressed in formalwear. Rather than gambling for money, players risked their chips to win scooters, coffee pots, a coffee grinder and an activity with a cabinet member. The “activity with a cabinet member” prizes ranged from sailing lessons with NCSA president Michael Long to a homemade dinner from Student Allocations Committee (SAC) Chair Alexandria Wells. While students excitedly played their hands, the New Cats jazz ensemble played a two-hour set of music and volunteers mixed drinks and served pretzels, Nutella and grapes.
