The New College Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) recognizes how busy the last few weeks of the year can be. The end of classes, preparing for finals and transitioning to summer can create a flurry of things to get done, which can increase stress and impact well-being.  We hope that students take proactive, healthy steps to manage stress and finish the year as smoothly as possible. And we want you to know that CWC remains here for everyone.

An appointment for CWC services can be scheduled by calling 941-487-4254 (option 1 for general questions and scheduling, option 2 for crisis hotline) or by scanning the QR codes below for the services needed.

Student Health Services remain open through May 17.  Feeling tired, worn, down or sick?  Need to check in on health and medical needs? Come in for a student health appointment!  Hours are: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. There are no services on Wednesdays or weekends. Appointments are encouraged and walk-ins are welcomed.

Counseling Services remain open for regular sessions through May 10 and for crisis sessions through May 17. Feeling more stressed and overwhelmed than usual? Need to sort out how to manage the rest of this academic year? Schedule an appointment or consultation to meet with a counselor and explore how to manage feelings or experiences. Regular sessions, consultations and intakes can be scheduled through May 10 during regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are open for walk-in appointments during business hours through finals week, and our 24/7 NCF Crisis Hotline remains available any time of the day or night, whether campus is in session or on a break.

Case Management Services remain open through May 17.  Have questions about resources, on or off campus? Need to find a counselor or doctor for the summer? Case management services are available through the end of the semester, during regular business hours.. Students can also stop by the CWC Chat Spot, in Hamilton “Ham” Center Lounge on Friday, May 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to “ask a case manager” any questions they may have.
