Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center

Operated by the PEACenter, the Fogartyville Community Center provides a gathering place where art, culture, music and politics intentionally collide to inspire social change. Known for their potluck events, Fogartyville is a regular venue for all kinds of events that enrich local activist practice. Their film screenings and panel discussions cover a wide range of issues, such as racial and ethnic equality, environmentalism, gun violence, economic justice and more. Planned Parenthood of Southwest & Central Florida

More than ever, Americans need to fight for reproductive justice and healthcare access. Planned Parenthood is an organization committed to providing affordable, responsible, age appropriate sexuality education and reproductive health services to the women, men and families of Southwest and Central Florida. SPARCC Sarasota

Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC) is the only state-certified center that provides domestic and sexual violence services in Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. SPARCC serves survivors through an Outreach Center in downtown Sarasota, satellite offices in south Sarasota and DeSoto Counties and a shelter operating 24 hours a day/365 days a year and at the local courthouses. Black Lives Matter Alliance Sarasota Manatee Chapter

This peaceful activist group is open to all who want to unite and take action against racial inequality in the Sarasota Manatee area. They regularly host meetings and organize protests, cookouts, potlucks and tackle other local issues. If you’d like to stay updated on their summer programming, join their group on Facebook.

Dollar Dynasty

Dollar Dynasty serves homeless and underprivileged people of greater Sarasota Florida by providing basic needs for free such as food, clothing, educational supplies, counseling, career development, and referrals for housing, shelter and crisis networks are available.
