Incoming and returning students alike anticipate this semester’s Walls

Students have been waiting in anticipation for this semester’s Wall schedule to come out. Some are excited to go have fun and dance with their friends, while others want to plan ahead for when they need to get earplugs to drown out the loud music that will inevitably creep into their dorms.

Walls are a New College tradition. The weekly themed-dance parties are held in Palm Court and are hosted by students, for students.

Saturday, Sept. 7 marked the beginning of this semester’s Wall lineup, with the “Shake your Ass” Wall. This caused a bit of culture-shock and excitement for students, especially first years.

“I thought it was interesting, everyone was so open to talking and having fun. It was a cool experience,” First-Year student Luis Chavez said about his first Wall experience.

Each Wall has a unique theme, so there is something for everybody.
