Bones almost cinch B league playoff

The Bones softball season has come to an end for now, with one win and one loss in the playoffs. The team came up slightly short in the B league championship. In both games, the Bones came up from behind in the last innings. In the first game, against the Jokers, the team was victorious, but in the second game against the Ansbro Aldrich Flooring Company team, the Bones were not.

The Bones are New College’s recreational softball team. It began over three decades ago. Students, staff, alums and professors play on the team. Other citizens of Sarasota and Manatee county populate the other teams.

“I’m glad we got that first comeback win,” alum Daniel Anderson-Little said. “I am looking forward to resting my body in the off season. […] Overall, the Bones are pretty successful.”

The league has three seasons per year. The fall league ended with the Oct. 30 playoffs.
