Lines are getting longer at the Four Winds as Novo Collegians can now charge smoothie and burrito purchases to Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards. On April 15, the student-run café began accepting credit cards on their machine provided by Bank of America.

“Many people have been putting pressure on us to get a credit card machine,” said Four Winds Manager Hannah Brown, who graduated from New College last year. “”The current cabinet really pushed for it recently.”

Since running cable lines to the register and installing the machine, there has been an increase in student visits to the café. “Most students seem really excited,” said Brown. “They also seem to be spending more money. We hope that our increase in business will maintain over time, and hope that more faculty and staff will come to the Four Winds during their lunch breaks.”
